CHAINS
THE SEVEN OUTSIDE NETWORKS, READ FROM BLOCKCHAIR. THEIR OWN BLOCK HEIGHTS MEASURE THE DEPTH OF EVERY NEARMINER BLOCK.
A square is one nearminer block. It starts at the left when the block is found and moves right as the winning coin's real network mines new blocks. At the tick it has reached that network's coinbase maturity.
Every shaft is a coin secured by proof of work, so the thing being acquired by the rig is itself mined. Bitcoin, Litecoin, Dogecoin, Bitcoin Cash and Dash are transparent chains. Zcash and Monero are the two privacy chains.
Zcash brings the shielded pool. A coinbase sent to a shielded address can carry a 512 byte encrypted memo, enough room for a full nearminer block header, and a published viewing key lets anyone read the chain of headers without being able to spend.
Monero brings three rules the rig uses directly: a difficulty window that cuts outliers before averaging, a 60 block lock on freshly mined coins, and a tail emission that never falls to zero. It also supports reserve proofs, a way to prove a balance without revealing outputs.
A coin is only ever quoted if NEAR Intents lists it. The list is checked on every round. Where a coin is not listed its shaft reads UNLISTED and it cannot win a block.
